Ambulances and Supplies Headed for Guatemala

On the road again..... Two more ambulances loaded with fire fighting and EMS equipment and supplies are on the way to Guatemala.

An ambulance donated by East Pierce Fire & Rescue will become part of the new fire company at the airport in Guatemala City.
A 2nd ambulance donated by South Pierce Fire & Rescue will be used by a new clinic in Monterrico, Guatemala.
Firefighting gear and medical supplies donated by various fire departments and medical groups were packed in to each ambulance and will make a big difference in the Guatemalan communities.
Thank you to all of our generous donors for making this possible!

First Annual Golf Tournament a Great Success!

The first annual BRAVE Foundation Golf Tournament held on August 11th was a big success. It poured down rain early in the morning but it didn't put a damper on the turn out and enthusiasm. We made lots of new friends and had a fabulous time....all while raising nearly $5500 to benefit BRAVE Foundation programs in Guatemala.

Thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors, prize donors, volunteers, and participants. We greatly appreciate your support of the BRAVE Foundation!
Save the Date for next year's tournament - May 18th, 2010.

BRAVE Foundation Hosts Guatemalan Firefighter

The BRAVE Foundation recently hosted a bombero from Guatemala for training. Miguel had the opportunity to ride out with the Central Pierce Fire & Rescue department to learn more about facilities, equipment, and department efficiencies. He also had a great time making new friends and learned a lot about our culture. Miguel will take his new skills in rescues and managing an efficient fire station back to Guatemala to teach his fellow bomberos.

Giving back and making a difference...

The BRAVE Foundation received a donation today from 2 young girls who were adopted from Guatemala. They saved their allowance to become a sponsor in our August golf tournament. WOW! They already understand that anyone and everyone can make a difference. What will you do today and every day to be part of someone's miracle?

Recent Correspondence Received From a Young Supporter

BELOW IS A LETTER FROM A 9 YEAR OLD SUPPORTER OF THE BRAVE FOUNDATION. This is so precious......

Dear Captain Embleton,
Hi. I’m 9 years old. I was born in Guatemala. My mom adopted me and my sister a long time ago and now we live in Ohio. We saw you on a website and saw you training Guatemalans being firefighters. We also saw a bunch of cool photos. My mom sent you money to help more people. I asked my grandma if she could pay you a check for helping more Guatemalans. She said yes if I wrote you a letter. Here it is. Maybe you could buy them gas for there trucks.Thank you for helping Guatemala. My mom says you’re a good guy and so are all the people that help you. I think she’s right. Elaina
